In this table, you can explore the explanation of foreign language levels in detail. Four language skills are described – speaking, reading, writing, and listening.

Dialogue
I can communicate in a simple way if the conversation partner can slowly repeat or rephrase what they say and help me formulate what I am trying to express. I can ask simple questions and answer them in a conversation on topics that are very familiar to me.
Writing
I can write a short, simple text, for example, send a greeting postcard. I can fill in forms with personal details, such as entering my name, nationality, and address on a hotel registration form.
Reading
I understand familiar words and names, as well as very simple sentences, for example, in notices, posters, and catalogues.
Listening
I understand familiar words and very simple phrases when someone speaks slowly and clearly about me, my family, and my immediate surroundings.
Level
A2
Dialogue
I can communicate in everyday situations where there is a simple exchange of information on familiar topics or activities. I can engage in very short conversations on everyday matters, but my language skills are insufficient to carry on a dialogue independently.
Writing
I can write short notes and simple messages. I can write a very simple letter, for example, to express thanks to someone.
Reading
I can read very short and simple texts. I can find specific information in simple, everyday texts such as advertisements, promotional materials, menus, or lists. I can understand short and simple personal letters.
Listening
I understand individual phrases and the most frequently used words in expressions related to myself (for example, simple information about myself and my family, shopping, living situation, work). I can grasp the main idea in short, simple, and clearly spoken notices or advertisements.

B1
Dialogue
I am able to communicate while traveling abroad in situations where speaking is necessary. I can participate in a conversation without prior preparation on topics that are familiar or of interest to me, as well as on everyday life subjects (for example, “family,” “hobbies,” “work,” “travel,” “current events”).
Writing
I can write a simple, connected text on topics that are familiar or of interest to me. I can write a letter describing my experiences and impressions.
Reading
I understand texts that use everyday language or language related to my work. I can understand events, feelings, and wishes described in personal letters.
Listening
I understand the main content of clear and standard speech on familiar topics that I encounter at work, school, leisure, etc. I can understand the content of radio and television programs when the speech is relatively slow and clear, on current events or topics that are of personal or professional interest to me.
Level
B2
Dialogue
I can communicate fairly fluently and spontaneously with native speakers. I can actively participate in discussions on familiar issues, giving reasons and defending my opinions.
Writing
I can write clear, detailed texts on a wide range of subjects related to my interests. I can write essays or reports, provide written information, and argue for or against a particular point of view. I can write letters highlighting the most important events and impressions.
Reading
I can read reviews and articles on current issues in which the author expresses a particular attitude or opinion. I can understand contemporary prose works.
Listening
I can understand extended speech and lectures, follow even complex lines of argument, provided the topic is fairly familiar. I understand almost all news broadcasts and reports on current events. I understand almost all films in standard literary language.

C1
Dialogue
I can express myself fluently and spontaneously, selecting appropriate words and expressions without much obvious searching. I can use the language skillfully in both everyday situations and work-related contexts. I can formulate my thoughts and opinions precisely and maintain a conversation proficiently.
Writing
I can write clear and well-structured texts, expressing my views. I can write letters, essays, or reports on complex subjects, highlighting what I consider important and significant. I can write in a style appropriate for a specific reader.
Reading
I can understand long and complex texts of different types, recognizing stylistic nuances. I can understand specialized articles and lengthy technical instructions, even if they are outside my field of expertise.
Listening
I can understand extended speech even when it is not clearly structured and when logical connections are only implied. I can effortlessly understand television programs and films.
Level
C2
Dialogue
I can participate effortlessly in any conversation or discussion, and I have a strong command of idiomatic expressions and colloquial vocabulary. I can speak completely fluently and express subtle nuances precisely. If I encounter difficulties in language use, I can reformulate my words so smoothly that others do not notice.
Writing
I can write my thoughts clearly and logically, expressing my opinions. I can write letters, essays, or reports on complex topics, highlighting what I consider important and significant. I can write in a style appropriate for a specific reader.
Reading
I can easily read texts of any type, structure, or linguistic complexity, including manuals, specialized articles, and literary works.
Listening
I can effortlessly understand any form of spoken language—both in direct communication and broadcasts—even if a native speaker talks at a fast pace. I can understand speakers with different accents.
